Howdy from Texas

WOW!  I just realized how long it has been since I have blogged!  There is not much new down here in Texas.  Louie and I go on daily walks around the pond down from our house.  There are a LOT of ducks and Louie thinks it is funny to scare them and make them go into the water, so we are working on his manners!  It is about a 3 1/2 mile walk to the pond, around the pond, and back to the house, so when we are almost home Louie stops and sits down until I carry him home the rest of the way.  So we need to work on him walking the whole way too.

For Easter we went to Dallas,Texas where the Cowgirls are from (Dallas Cowboys) and I thought of all my football fans because we went to see the stadium.  It is a beautiful stadium, but would be a lot better if it is where the Packers played!  We have some friends that live in Dallas so we went up there, went shopping, and relaxed by the pool.  So our first Easter in Texas was pretty good and spend with friends.  Below is our friend's little boy and me.  We did  a LOT of drawing with sidewalk chalk and bubbles!

This weekend  I am dragging Tomi to the Outlet Mall to go shopping and hopefully to the Zoo ( I REALLY want to feed the giraffes).I miss ALL of you like crazy and everyday something reminds me of my friends from Bitterroot!  I am adjusting to Texas, but it would be a whole LOT better if Bitterroot was here!  Avery told me you got my postcards and I was excited to get a letter from  Nathaniel.  Avery asked if I would blog more, so I will try and if you write me, I promise to write you back!  The last picture I attached, I saw yesterday and it made me think of you guys right away!  Have fun at the carnival tonight and I miss you all!



I "Mustache" you to do your best on testing!

So I talked to Mrs. Frenk today and she said that you guys started your MontCAS testing!  Remember that you are all smart cookies and if you try your hardest  you will do GREAT!   I believe in all of you and am cheering you on here in Texas!! I went out to lunch this weekend and the man waiting on us had a rockstar mustache. I told him about the AMAZING 5th graders back in Montana and how the class theme was mustaches.  I asked him if I could take his picture to put on the blog for you to see his "stache".....

I then want to say, I "mustache" you to have a happy "Tu Tu Tueday"!!  I miss you all!

Flip flops in Texas

Thank you SO much for the video last Friday, it made my day!  I think of you ALL daily and it is nice to see your smiles and hear your voice.  I will continue to blog and hopefully someone checks it and then lets the others know that I have gotten on.  My days have been busy, busy unpacking so I don't always have a lot to blog about.  But I will get on at least once a week.  Let me tell you,  unpacking is not very much fun!  I attached a picture of Louie, he loves to just watch me unpack.

Since he is such good company, we go on a walk around the neighborhood every morning and afternoon.  We hope that by walking we can maybe make some friends : )!  Last week, I baked a LOT of cookies and then went around to all my neighbors and took cookies.  It is hard moving to a new place and not having any friends.  But you have all taught me to do nice things for others, so I thought of you when I delivered my cookies.  So far, one neighbor has returned my plate with some goodies (Mexican candy) and has invited me to go walking with her.  Last Friday, we went to the rodeo, which is HUGE here.  We went to the cookoff.  There were TONS of tents and in each tent they BBQ and then their food it judged.  It was a lot of fun and I couldn't believe all the people.  Good thing I had some cowboy boots to wear, because everyone was in boots and wearing a cowboy hat.   I made Tomi buy me a hat there : )!  This weekend we are going to continue unpacking and trying to turn this house into a home.  I have a class picture of you all with your mustaches that is framed and up, but that is about the only decoration in the house that is up so far. Then if the weather continues to be nice (it has been 70-76 degrees everyday), we might go to the Zoo.  So I will take LOTS of pictures if we do!  I would love to hear how all of you are doing, so you can write me and mail it or write me a letter and give it to Mrs. Frenk to send me!  I miss you ALL so much!

Made My Day!

I just wanted to drop by and say "hello" and tell you that I have been thinking about all my AMAZING 5th graders today as they are having their Valentine's Day party. Wishing I was there! I hope you got the Valentine's that I made and you had a GREAT party! I got a picture of you all from Mrs. Anderson last Friday and it made my day! THANK YOU!!



It has been awhile!

It has been awhile since I have been blogging, but to be honest it is because I miss my days with all of you SO much that it has been hard for me to get on here! I will try my hardest and like I said, once I notice you aren't checking it, I will stop. I got to Texas on Monday.

We are living in a hotel until our house is done, and Louie LOVES going on the elevator. I have been spoiled not having to cook breakfast or make my bed, and getting to lay by the pool. Although it will be nice once we are in our house and abe to sleep in our own bed. We have had to go out to eat for all of our meals and Louie has to go with us since he barks and isn't happy having to stay in the hotel room alone. While Tomi is at work, I have been working on your post cards wanting to send them all at once. I hope all of you are having a FANTASTIC February and I mean it when I say I miss you like crazy and think of you all every day wondering what you are doing and wishing I was there for the morning meeting getting to hear how ALL of you are doing! I miss your hugs and smiles! I am going to the ZOO this weekend and wil try and post some pictures next week! I attached a picture of our house that I took the last time I went to check on it!

I have not yet left for Texas, but have been working on some cards to send you since I promised to send you some mail. I will still send you a post card once I get to Houston, Texas.
