Frantic Friday

Will must of had a sweet tooth, check out where we found him this morning......

We  celebrated LeeRoy this morning so that we wouldn't get busy this afternoon and he wouldn't have enough time.  He shared with us his recorder from last year, lots of pictures of his family, his Cub Scouts vest, all his ribbons from Construction City, his house plan that him and his dad made, and his Pinewood Derby car.  LeeRoy said some words for us in Korean,  his favorite food is Ramon noodles, favorite color is red, he has a dog named Katie but has four pets altogether, and he likes stripes.  We are so thankful to have LeeRoy as part of our class family and we enjoyed learning more about him!

We wrapped up our focus question for the week " What did America mean to the first European settlers?" with discussion.  We took our weekly test to show our understanding with ask/answer question, compare/contrast, and using context clues.  We also took our spelling unit 13 test over VCCV words.  We did math during our reading block since we took our NWEA Math test during our math block.  Therefore we didn't have time to work on our inquiry project and will spend some time working on it Monday.  In math we continued with subtracting decimals and they are doing a great job remembering to align the decimals when adding and subtracting.
