We learned a new movement song today which was a lot of fun. I attached it so that we can work on the sequence of dance moves for next time we do it : )!

Wacky Wednesday
This morning we worked extra on math, and had extra practice with multiplication patterns. We talked about checking over our work, asking for clairification, and that Mrs. Umemoto is here to help, so if we don't understand we need to work with her and ask questions. We broke into teams for spelling and practiced our spelling words. It was a lot of fun and I LOVED hearing them encourage each other! For reading, we watched the American fairy tale "Little Red Ridinghood" and the Chinese version "Lon Po Po". We talked about how different cultures have different versions of fairy tales and then compared and contrasted them with a venn diagram. For math, we practiced decimals patterns. When we have .31X10, we move the decimal the number of zeros to the right, to give us 3.1. When we multiply decimals by 10,100, and 1,000 we want to be able to find the product in our head. We have been doing LOTS of practice with this. This afternoon we had music and then did some science and social studies. For science we continued our discussion with consumers, producers, omnivores, herbivores, carnivores, and decomposers. For social studies we talked about Montana and did a comprehension check.
We learned a new movement song today which was a lot of fun. I attached it so that we can work on the sequence of dance moves for next time we do it : )!
