Terrific Tuesday

Today for reading, we wrote our descriptive paragraphs on our oreo sculptures.  We had to prewrite, peer edit, and publish.  We also helped the KC club by  tracing and cutting out some mustaches for next Tuesday.  For math, we worked on understanding division and worked through division story problems in small groups.  For social studies we worked on geographic terms and completed page 4 in our interactive notebooks.  The chapter 1 test in social studies will be next Tuesday and they will be able to use their notebooks which we have been working on in class!  A reminder that tomorrow everyone will be getting out at 12:00p.m. and there will be no school Thursday or Friday.  Also, remember to send back slips indicating best time for conferences and I will send home your day and time next Tuesday.

We celebrated Hailey today since last Friday was busy.  Hailey shared with us a glass egg that has been passed down to generations, pictures of her family, a crown she got from the "Kid's Carbon County Rodeo" where she was the princess, and a blanket that she made.  Her favorite color is purple, she has three older siblings and one younger sibling, she LOVES horses, enjoys rodeoing, she plays the clarinet, and she likes M&Ms.  We enjoyed celebrating Hailey and are so thankful she is part of our class family!!
