Wacky Wednesday

Happy Wacky Wednesday!!  This morning right away, we did our Daily Language Review and morning meeting!  Then we got the rest of the time until recess to work in our groups on our library project which is due Friday.  In library, they have to create a poster with their slogan and then on Friday they will present it and vote on the best one, a mock election. For reading, we worked on our "Tom the Turkey" stories, the prewriting and editing.  We talked about the expectations and what needs to be included in their stories.  I also gave them the grading rubic which I will use to grade their turkeys and story.  Then we discussed main idea and details.  The main idea is the key ides being expressed.  It is the most important piece of information the writer wants you to know about.  The details give you the facts and reasons.  They answer the questions how, what, when, where, and why. For math, we continued with dividing with larger numbers.  We graded our assignment together to see our mistakes and then did problems together on white boards. For independent work they had problems 1-6 showing their estimation, problem, scratch work, and checked work through multiplication. Since we have been working on dividing with larger numbers for the past 3 days, I will be taking a grade on todays assignment. Tomorrow we will move on to zeros in the quotient and I will pull and work with those that need additional help.  They can all do it, but need to remember to slow down and check their work!  I am very proud of them and all their hard work!  Division is a long process!

For $50 tomorrow, tell me the questions that details answer.......
