Today in reading, we discussed our focus question and reviewed everything we have learned in the last unit (over the last 3 weeks).  We discussed the first settlers, the colonists, Revolutionary war, and after the Revolutionary war.  We also helped Santa out and wrote as some elves to a kindergarten class at Alkali Creek Elementary!  This class is so kind with AMAZING, GENUINE hearts! The last part of reading we went over and watched some plays done by the 6th graders.
After lunch, during our math block, Mrs. Frenk invited the class to come over and do an activity with her.  Therefore we did not get to our math lesson and will pick it up tomorrow!  For social studies we took our chapter 10 test over the Revolutionary war and what led up to it.
Today, the new teacher who will be taking over for Mrs. Umemoto came in and hung out with us for the day We got to learn a lot about her.  Her name is Mrs. Glumbik and she seems very nice.  She is lucky to get to get to teach these AMAZING 5th graders and boy am I having a hard time leaving!  Love them all so very much!!
For $50 tomorrow tell me where we are going Thursday morning on our field trip  : )
Mrs. Frenk and Mrs. Umemoto being silly for "Tu Tu Tuesday.....
