"Hooked on Fishing" came this morning and talked to us about water distribution. He started by giving us a quick quiz! There are 86 different kinds of fish in Montana, WOW!! The biggest fish in Montana is the Paddle fish and the state fish is Cutthroat. Then we did an experiment and discussed the usable and not usable water and how much of each. it was REALLY interesting! This is such a fun program! Ask your 5th grader what they learned about it today : )........
In reading we read out of "Westing Game", finished our story out of our theme reader " Buffalo Jump", and then worked on our "Tacky Sweater Fashion Show".
For math we practiced with multiplying decimals by decimals and then ended the day with the band/orchestra concert. They did an AWESOME job and I am SO proud of ALL of them!!
I sent home permission slips for ice skating next Thursday. It is $3 for ice skating and then $2 because we are going to come back and have pizza for lunch!
For $50 tomorrow tell me how many different types of fish are in Montana......
